Feeling HOT HOT HOT !!!!!!

Oh my word can I even begin to say how hot it is? This is just June and we still have the hottest month August to go through. Since we have moved to White City, it is hotter here in the summer and colder in the winter. I wish that we could have a freak weather thing and it would forget it was summer and think it was January :):):) Yeah- right!!!
We took 7 girls on a youth trip to Wild Adventures, mistake #1- don't wear black pants with black (to the knee) socks and a 1/4 length shirt, truely I thought I was gonna die. I had to go inside a airconditioned restaurant and get cooled off for about one hour. #2- never expect to NOT get your hair wet riding water rides. I didn't even care at this point what I looked like or what I was wearing. We stopped and the girls talked me into buying some shorts and a short sleeve top. Oh my goodness-I looked like a olive with 2 tooth picks for legs and the legs were as white as my hiny where the sun never shines. But as I walked around looking at who might look at me and wonder why I was dressed that way, I found myself wondering why some people looked the way they did. At that point I didn't care, I was dying and I needed to be in the water getting soaked.
And I did and about drowned one time, I thought:):)
We had a good time just too hot for me and I will never go again in June-August.
Talking about looks, I did get some the first day when dressed in black, I must me a NUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weekend Visit

I had no idea until Friday night that Adam and family were coming for a short visit. Adam was invited to speak at our church on Sunday because our pastor has some medical issues and she is unable to preach right now. So if anyone reads this blog please pray for her.
So Saturday was an eventful day. Got up early Saturday morning to head out to clean a house on Cape San Blas, it was a mess but it took us about 3 hours(3 people). Thank goodness Matthew is a fast bed maker and very maticulatous, he makes a bed look as good as he makes coconut cakes.
The house smelled of dead fish bait, but bleach cuts all smells and the house ended up looking and smelling wouderful.
Saturday happened to be Mike's birthday and so I thought it would be nice to have the family eat out. Well sometimes Mike isn't good for his word as "I will be there soon". As the time passed it was almost 7 pm and no Mikie. So I go ahead and call Dock Side to see if we can get in as I forgot the fishing tournament was going on, plus we were starving to death, one hotdog does not last long.
So as I pulled up to Dock Side 100's of cars and people were everywhere and our party minus Mikie the birthday boy.
So I finally found a parking place over by the bank and walked not too far to the restaurant where we all met excluding the birthday boy. So we go in and it was very nice all the people were outside, thankgoodness. Also Matthew's family weren't there Celie was past starving I am sure and it was close to her bedtime.
So Nanny gets there and ask where Mike is, well he is at Barrier Dunes (talking)
so we go ahead and start ordering and maybe Mike would show. But have no fear Mike calls and is on his way so I ordered for him and he came in just as his food was placed down, good timing?
The food was very good, we didn't have to wait very long and we got to see some fresh caught fish,it was a nice time after all.
Happy Birthday Mike!!!!
