Bailey's Progress

My Bailey she is the cutest thing but what sharp teeth she has and toenails. I have forgotten how much work it is for a new puppy, but she is so funny, You have to put everything out of her sight or she will eat it. She is pretty good on the going outside to the bathroom but she escapes from the baack yard and either goes to the garage side or front door and does not run off right now. She loves to ride in the golf cart with Macie and Daphanie until she jumps out.

I have paper for a correcting tool and Celie has that down pat. Bailey has gotten tall and jumps of course and it scared Celie to death so I made her a paper spanking switch and Celie can really tell Bailey "No no Bailey", and hits her on the nose. Paper does not hurt and the noise of the paper makes a lot of difference in correcting her(Bailey).

The pictures are so cute and she sleeps with me every night. She is a pretty good bed fellow if she would just stay in one place and not do the traveling all over the bed. She is starting to get some brown high-lights on the top of her head, she is so cute and I can't wait until she gets through her puppy stage.

Celie and My Day Off

I had 2 days off and was so happy to rest the first day and that is exactly what I did. So I was rested up for ."Celie-Bug". We had fun today I must say, with all the trips to the pond to see Wally gator. Yes we have a gator in our pond and and he looks very mean. He will follow you as you ride around the pond, it is really scary to me. Celie loves him/her I don't know how you can tell and I am not going to investigate as to which it might be. But from it's actions I feel it might be a girl who is being protective of some babies maybe??? I am ready for someone to come and get it out of the pond, I don't want it to eat my dogs as they are really tasty to the alligator. He/She is creepy let me tell you and probably has eaten all our fish or the turtles have. We have 2 turtles in the pond also, I have no idea as to where they came from. But they all need to go back!!!

Celie was a champ today!!! Matthew came in with just a cup of 3/4's water and 1/2 teaspoon of prune juice mixed together, or just water you could call it. It tasted terrible and the reason I know Celie wanted me to try it-gross is the word. I think lemon would taste better and for sure no sugar. She started out on the ill side because she had to be woken up and who likes that I know I don't. I think next time I will go over and just let her sleep until she wakes up. Sounds good to me!!! When Matthew came in I asked was this all he had, no diaper and he said "no", just make sure she goes before nap time. Well nap time came and went and Celie bug did not have any accidents while sleeping and I was so proud of her. After she woke up she didn't want to put her shorts back on so she went around with panties and a shirt. She had fun playing with Bailey until puppy like, started biting with those razor sharp teeth and toenails. I am also proud of my Bailey, so smart already.

Our new Puppy - Bailey

It has almost been a year since we had to put Mikes dog Bo to sleep. It was really hard but Bo was in so much pain and no quality of life left in him. But he still loved his master and would still wag his tail no matter what. I never saw him with any aggression at all. And loved Mike til the end. So I thought it was time to get Mike another dog/puppy. When ever I have gotten a dog I never ask Mike because it is always the same answer,"We don't have time for another dog". Well my answer to that is when would we ever have the time anyway???

This young teenage girl that goes to church with us had a puppy and it was so pretty, so I asked where she got it. Well some person gave it to them but they had like 8 more left. So I did some short thinking and decided to go check them out. Oh my goodness, when I drove up it looked like 20 puppies came running out, they were all so pretty. So I had a hard time choosing one so I let Jadia pick the one that she thought would be best and the fattest.

So here we end up with this puppy that Mike said he did not want and bring her home. I also have 2 other dogs that were not happy at all and one (Macie) is still not happy.

It has taken us two weeks to figure out a name. I have never seen it take so long, I wanted to name her Molly but that was out so we ended up with Bailey, and she is a doll. She is so sweet and is already very smart.

I know this is a random post but I had to think of something quickly. Mike loves Bailey and takes her to work with him when he can and she loves it. I am pushing for her to be a inside dog because she is so good and loves to sleep in the bed with me. She is growing so fast and the grandkids will love her.
