Some Memories of the White Family

Well, I know it has really been a long time since I have posted anything but so much has been going on. We have had a precious new addition to the "White Family" and her name is Libby Anne White. So adding her to the other "White" children 6 years and under would make her the 14th one all together grands 21 total for the Wayne and Geraldine White family of grands and great-grands. I will try and name them all starting with the grand children first, how ever I will probably misspell some of the names. Matthew, Adam, Brandy, Ashley, Andrew, Erin, Gavin, Ansley, Brenna,great-grands Celie,Libby,Britt, Paisley,Noah,Lilly,Elisa-Jo, Gabby,Jude, Carley,Haylee,Hannah. That is a mouth full to remember, some how I first got 22 so I hope I didn't leave anyone out. I love a large family and we have really got one and we are all, well just about all in the lower south except for Stephen and Dana.
Wouldn't it be great for us all to be together on Christmas this year???? And pray that it would snow, how much fun would that be????
I remember when Matthew and Adam were small and we all got together with out little families and then we only had maybe 10, and we always went on vacation with Guy and Becky. All the kids were so close and played well with each other,Brandy and Ashley were just like mine.
Matthew and Ashley were always together and Brandy and Adam. They were just alike, Matthew and Ashley scared of everything, would only ride "non-scary rides" but I just found out that Matthew was just being cautious. Brandy and Adam would do anything and not scared at all. I remember one time we went to some place maybe in Tenn. the highest point and you could walk it. Well it was like 1/2 mile straight up, I thought I was going to pass out as did Matthew and Ashley. Brandy and Adam ran all the way up and was coming back down. We had to rest at every bench there was for 10 mins.to get our breath.
We always had the best fun. I actually don't know if siblings go on trips together any more. It's kinda sad in a way what good memories we have. I remember also going to the beach house with 11-12 people staying in a 2 bedroom house with only 3 beds. We all slept on the floor, the couch and any place we could it didn't matter. We made great memories of us all being together and having fun.Papa would always cook breakfast and we had Nanny's pound cake then we would pack a lunch and go out on the boat scalloping and getting burned from all the sun reflecting off the water and white sand. We also had 3-wheelers that the kids would drive all over the place.
We never knew what time it was, it really didn't matter we were there to have a blast and be on vacation. We stayed up late and slept late as best we could. In the morning that big old ball of fire called the sun would wake you up rising in the East right over the bay. The most beautiful picture you could ever imagine. I guess the only thing I disliked over there were the BUGS, the gnats that would eat you alive at dusk. We build bonfires and went floundering at night, which we never caught one but it was so much fun and most of the time we had to try and beat the tide before it went out or our boat would be left way out, that was not fun.
We also had soooo much food, anything that you could think of to eat we had it. We caught our scallops an fixed them fresh they were great. We went and caught mullet, never caught any good fish. We saw stingrays, huge manarays and big sharks that we thought were after us some times LOL Oh and I forgot about the crabbing, that was a treat to catch those big blue crabs and cook them up.
So many years have passed by and the beach house just sits there with all those memories that I will NEVER forget. I don't think it will ever be the same anymore. Everyone has their own little families and live in different cities and states. Still it brings a tear to my eye when I remember back then and now how everyone has drifted off and apart, so much has changed. We never have time anymore for the best memory makers , our family. Everyone goes different ways and never enough time, shame shame on us all.
I would never have traded any of it because I have that special family memory that I hope I never forget. We all loved each other and laughed so hard!!!
We all need to try and do better, we only have in all reality a very short time on this earth so we need to make the very best of it as we can.

Well, it is great to see you blogging again. I agree, we all do need to get together and make some family memories of our own. Could you imagine the beach house with the group we have now? That would be crazy:)
