Just a Short Trip

Well we did something that I normally would never do unless I really think about it. But it was such a good opportunity to go visit my son Adam and his family this weekend since I was off Monday so we took a short trip to Gainesville. We really had a nice time and the grandkids were so happy to see us. We met at Cracker Barrel and we were the first to arrive. We got a table right at the front and when Britt and Paisley came in they just started screaming, Meme and Papa. It just melts your heart to hear those little voices call your name and are so happy to see you. Even when Celie comes over she is so excited to see us, well actually Papa is the lucky one. When he is around there is no one else but Papa, it is sooooo sweet.
We ate today at the orginal Sonny's BBQ restaurant and it was really good. We went shopping and found some good deals at Wal Mart, came home and then began the night of playing games. It was a lot of fun, and we played 2 different games. This morning I got up at ( I can not believe this at all) 10:30 and Adam was ready to start playing this new card game,Rage which was really fun when we figured out how to play it.
Then it was like 2pm before we knew it and that is when we went to eat at Sonny's. After that Mike wanted to go bowling, OH MY WORD I could not believe it, so I ask Britt to start praying that the place would be closed. His prayer was, God is great, God is good let us thank Him for our food:):):) Mike was all ready and excited to play because I did not want to at all so we go in and thank the Lord it was not open but to the leagues that were going to play. Then off to the park!
Britt and Paisley love this park it is the coolest park ever and very nice and new. I know Celie would love the slides and swings!
After the park we had to leave and go back to the house to get our things ready to come home. I hate this part most of all. Britt gets so upset and cries, and then it gets me upset because he is crying and holds on to your neck. He is such a tender hearted little thing, and reminds me of Matthew when he was little. He always cried, even when we left Mama's house after lunch. Paisley and Celie are not old enough yet but I dread it when and if they start crying. I tell you it just does something to you and it is hard to explain.
Anyway the trip home was GREAT, I slept the whole way home, well not completely asleep but kept my eyes closed and we were home in 3 1/2 hours. Mike always says that I am the one that makes the trips so long for stopping at every rest stop but this time I stayed in the car the whole time.
So our trip was really nice and I am still awake at 2:27 because I napped all the way home.

for some reason, it won't let me sign in....

I am glad you all had a nice trip. It's too bad the bowling alley was closed, bowling is so much fun! Especially when you are as terrible as I am. :) Spur of the moment trips are always the most fun (to me).
